Neubau Eyewear Launches Limited Edition Bauhaus inspired Collection in Berlin

To celebrate 100 years of Bauhaus, eyewear brand Neubau launched a special collection of sunglasses called Walter & Wassily. The influential school of design was the inspiration for the sunglasses. We first spotted them at Paris Fashion Week, worn by one of our favorite hijab-wearing street style stars; Rawdah Mohamed.

The collection is named after Walter Gropius and Wassily Kandinsky, two key players in the Bauhaus movement. Walter Gropius was the founder of the Bauhaus school of design and Wassily Kandinsky was an influential artist, known for his Wassily chair (seen on the campaign images).

Walter & Wassily Limited edition sunglasses

As said before, the Walter & Wassily sunglasses are inspired by Bauhaus. The titanium frame is a reference to the bent steel tubes used in Bauhaus furniture while the round shape pays homage to the circle as one of the period’s defining elements.

The Walter & Wassily are an unisex pair of sunglasses from the high-end segment of the Neubau eyewear range. They come in three different color combinations; snow-white with black matte, black coal with eclectic silver as well as black coal with brass matte.

The sunglasses are available now on the Neubau Eyewear website and in stores.
