New Collaboration: Jean Paul Gaultier Through the Eyes of Lotta Volkova

Russian stylist Lotta Volkova created this capsule collection from her point of view as a stylist. Together with luxury brand Jean Paul Gaultier, they brought a tribute to the fashion houses’ archives.

Lotta Volkova is the ugly chic girl. She worked with Vetements and Balenciaga, and now it’s time for Jean Paul Gaultier. In an interview with Vogue, she explains the collection as: “Capturing the quintessence of Jean Paul and reintroducing it to the contemporary fashion audience, to the younger generations, and for them to be able to buy. Now you can have and wear that little piece of history.”

A tribute

The collaboration is a tribute to the fashion houses’ archives by edited and re-edited iconic and symbolic pieces of Jean Paul Gaultier. The eyecatcher is the iconic velvet Cone Dress of 1984. This reminds us of Madonna’s Blond Ambition Tour, where she wore the Cone Bra. The dress is now modernized into a mini-dress and top.

The Jean Paul Gaultier x Lotta Volkova collection is now available on the website of Jean Paul Gaultier.
