On Our Wishlist: The Acne Studios Collection Featuring Sonya Mohova

For the SS19 menswear campaign, Acne Studios teamed up with NBA player Russel Westbrook, focussing on the brand’s denim roots. Its female counterpart will be represented by Ukrainian ballerina and model Sonya Mohova. She recently got featured in a series of SS19 printed T-shirts and totes.

Dance – inspired

The choice to collaborate with Sonya Mohova was an obvious one since the SS19 collection has been heavily inspired by ballet. Stretchy materials, fitted leather bodices and shoes inspired by pointes. All the influences were there. Sonya Mohova now proves that it’s actually possible to dance while wearing some of the key pieces.

Acne Studios invited her to create four self-shot clips representing a dancer’s life. You can behold the result on the Acne Studios Instagram account. Also a series of T-shirts and tote bags with the dancer’s image have been created and the results turned out to be pretty amazing.
