“Her image, her story.”
If you’re asking yourself whether it’s still necessary to talk about women’s rights in the 21st century since, after all, we’re not cavemen anymore. Well, we can assure you that it’s more than necessary, just watch the news.
For that reason & Other Stories launched, to annual tradition, its campaign called “Her image, her story.” as a celebration of self-expression. The Swedish brand invited eight photographers they admire to turn the lens on themselves. In a series of self-portraits, they reflect on what it means to capture one’s authentic self, encouraging others to do the same and own their stories.
All portraits were printed on limited-edition posters and will be sold in stores and online. All proceeds from these posters, along with 1 euro for every self-portrait posted on Instagram and tagged #herimageherstory (during March) will be donated to CARE, a poverty-fighting organization that has a specific focus on women and girls.
