Our Favorite Pieces From the Upcoming IKEA X Sabine Marcelis Collection

A good collab never grows old, and the upcoming Ikea x Sabine Marcelis crossover is definitely something we get enthusiastic about. We’ve been a fan of the Dutch designer since she created interior pieces for old Céline in 2016. For the past seven years, we never got over the fact that we would never be able to afford one of her designs … until now.

Ikea wouldn’t be Ikea if the collection wasn’t called some kind of unpronounceable Swedish-ish-sounding name. We don’t know who came up with VARMBLIXT, but it suits the collection.

From the 20 pieces that Sabine Marcelis designed for Ikea, we selected a few of our favorites that we wouldn’t mind having at our apartments. We see you, cute little burgundy side table. That yellow carpet also is an absolute gem, not to mention pairing it with the round piece of lighting. And then there are the glasses and serving dishes in the shape of a donut.

The entire collection will be available in Belgian stores and via Ikea’s website as of February. The pieces of lighting will become a permanent collection, while the others are limited editions.
