PHOTOS: This was our End of Year Dinner 2023

As the year is coming to a close, we reflected on our incredible journey in 2023. To celebrate that, we organized an intimate End-of-Year Dinner for key contacts, collaborators, industry insiders, and friends of the magazine. It was a perfect opportunity to come together, express gratitude, get inspired, and honor collaborations that define our magazine’s unique vibe.

For this dinner, we transformed the photo studio of METAL Antwerp into a spacious, yet intimate dinner location. We started the night with some of our creative director’s favorite drinks; a pornstar martini, made with Passoa, and a gin tonic, made with the award-winning No.3 Gin. After that, we slowly made our way to the beautifully made black table, where gifts awaited our guests. Among the gifts were a perfume from Jo Malone, a Philips Hue light bulb, and products from Ioan.

The dinner itself started with risotto, mackerel, and a sepia foam. The main dish was a delicious root vegetable Christmas crown, followed up with the best dessert made of cherries and vanilla ice cream. Alongside all of these amazing dishes, we were drinking the best Rueda wines. All of the food at our dinner was curated by Daan Guelinckx, and the table-setting design was created by Enya Pannecoucke, who are the two founders of Mand Antwerp.

A special performance with some help from Philips Hue

In between the main course and dessert, we had a special performance by Loverman, dressed in Valentino. He performed on a specially designed stage with Philips Hue lights. Just like the rest of the space, we put Philips Hue lights all over the place to easily set the mood with the Philips Hue app. Loverman’s performance was the highlight of our dinner, according to many. He managed to make the whole room go silent, and believe us, that’s a challenge.
