Premiere: Larssen. Reveals Music Video of ‘Make It Right’

If you want to do something creative, you better do it right! Belgian singer and producer Sasja Maekelberg launched his project Larssen. over a year ago, but his new single “Make It Right” is only his third release. Instead of rushing, the Ghent-based artist is taking his time to develop his artistry and shares a new glimpse of his creativity in his new music video that we’re exclusively premiering.

Inspired by the current situation and a personal event, Maekelberg wrote “Make It Right” about two people who only communicate via phone calls, which steadily leads up to a break-up. Sound-wise, the song is exploring the borders of pop music by playing with sounds and textures, which sonically stimulates the story of the song.

Black and White

The accompanying music video of “Make It Right” is a collaboration between Sasja Maekelberg and Nora Maerten, a young graphic designer. “We’ve been having a lot of phone calls to discuss how we could tell the story in some nice visuals,” Maekelberg says about finding the concept of the music video, that was shot with all precautionary measures taken. The result is a tasteful, black-and-white music video that once again shows that being restricted can boost your creativity.
