We are extremely excited to exclusively premiere Lea Rue’s new single and video for “Watching You“.

WATCHING YOU

Lea Rue’s fourth single sounds slightly different compared to her first releases, but still has that sweet touch that differs from other artists. This time, a darker sound makes its way to our ears and settles itself in our head.

While the song starts rather slow, the song is speeding up towards the first chorus and grabs your emotions like a tornado. “Watching You” is co-written by Lea herself and is written from the internet perspective, where social media takes over our lives and influences us. The single is set to be on her debut EP, that should be released this year.

THE MUSIC VIDEO

The visual of “Watching You” is made by the Brussels-based videographer Maky Margaridis and accentuates the feeling and message of the song. Lea Rue herself looks stunning and fragile, dressed in a gigantic pastel rose tulle skirt. But it’s the shots where she looks fiercer than ever in a structured and beaded outfit that we love the most. All styled by Melvin Jonckers in creations by Belgian designer Bart Hoste.

With a shattered mirror in her hand, Rue shows how powerful she can look in a severe, but beautiful shot. The music video, produced by Blue Nuit, shows the contrast between the darker parts of the song and the softer, brighter melodies without losing itself in the two different worlds.

Working on her first EP and a live show, we’re sure that we’ll be hearing more of the singer soon.
