Premiere: North Naim Celebrates Big Debut With Single “River”

The Swiss-Angolan singer North Naim (previously known as Zola) took the past months to reflect on his music and decided to relaunch his career. His new sound is inspired by the ’90s sound of trip-hop and sees him dive a bit deeper into a new musical soundscape. His amazing debut single “River” is accompanied by a stunning music video that we’re exclusively premiering.

One with nature

North Naim used the beautiful Swiss alps as the background for his new music video, which was directed by Alvaro Kreyden. Talking about the visuals, he says: “The music video explores the interconnection between man and nature. It portrays a journey into that space through my lens, finding nature as a teaching, nurturing home for creation and life.”

The song itself feels like a warm embrace and underlines his passion for music. “River” is a strong debut single, which builds up to an impressive climax that will give you goosebumps. The cinematic track is the first taste of his debut EP (expected in early 2022) and couldn’t be better.
