The new must-have sneaker of the summer is the Nike ISPA Link, where ISPA stands for “Improvise”, “Scavenge”, “Protect”, and “Adapt”. Not only is it extremely beautiful to look at because of the copper, gold, and silver colors, but it is the most (truly) sustainable sneaker that’s ever been made. Here’s why!
The time that is required to build the Nike ISPA Link is only eight minutes, which is nothing in comparison to manufacturing other sneakers. It is also made without glue or cement. That means that if the sneaker is at the end of its lifespan, the materials can be easily separated and broken down into recyclable scraps. With that technique, Nike broke the mold in designing footwear.

But that is not the only sustainable beauty that is coming toward us. In 2023 the Nike ISPA Link Axis will heal the world even a bit more! This pair of sneakers is fully made out of recycled materials and (obviously) also able to be broken to pieces.
“Our hope is that these ideas and aesthetics become normalized, accelerating our ability to imagine how shoes will continue to evolve in the future,” said Vice President and Catalyst Footwear Product Design at Nike, Darryl Matthews in an article for Sneaker Jagers.
The Nike ISPA Link will be available in June on the website of Nike and the Nike ISPA Link Axis will debut in 2023.
