Teyana Taylor’s New LP ‘The Album’ Puts Her On The Map

Today, June 19th aka Juneteenth marks the release of Teyana Taylor’s highly anticipated third LP ‘The Album’. ‘The Album’ features artists like Rick Ross, Quavo, Missy Elliot, Future, Big Sean, and more.

The announcement of the album release date came on the heels of another very special reveal: Teyana is pregnant with her second child. The singer revealed the happy news on Friday in her self-directed music video for “Wake Up Love”.

The new LP was released today on Juneteenth. Juneteenth is an unofficial American holiday (official in Texas) that commemorates Union Army general Gordon Granger announcing that all slaves in Texas were free.

The Album features the new graduation anthem “Made It”, pegged by NPR as a “triumphant, isolation-proof anthem for the Class of 2020”. It also features the Kanye West-produced “We Got Love”, and “How You Want It?” featuring King Combs.

Teyana has been on the rise ever since her second album K.T.S.E. came out in 2018. She has a successful career as a video director, she acts, models, and self-directs singles and videos, including “Morning” with singer Kehlani. She really does it all. This new LP is sure to put her on the map even more.
