In our weekly selection of the best songs, we unveil upcoming superstars and major bops, so grab your headphones and follow our brand-new Spotify playlist.

1. Nathy Peluso — TONTA

She has charisma, temperament, and incredible talent. Nathy Peluso is the best for many for good reason. On her comeback track “TONTA”, the Argentine-Spanish artist gives a first taste of her new album and seems to embrace new influences from rock music while maintaining her signature sound. There is so much fire and passion in her music that we cannot help but praise this worldly artist.

2. Kim Petras and Nicki Minaj — Alone

German pop starlet Kim Petras has already had an eventful run but seems to be doing better than ever. After her world hit “Unholy” with Sam Smith, she now snagged the queen of rap Nicki Minaj for her new track “Alone.” The eurotrance vibe, which is in its great revival, is skillfully brought together with a drill beat on the single, making the song stick even more. Kim Petras is quietly emerging as the pop star and has found the ideal reinforcement for her new hit with a verse by the Trinidadian-American rapper.

3. Hannah Jadagu — Admit It

“Admit It” is the fourth single from Hannah Jadagu’s debut, Aperture, and opens with angular, hooded drums that provide the perfect counterbalance to her soft vocal lines. The Texas native’s penchant for a subtle vocoder can only be heard in the details. The various layers of instruments provide a slight distraction, allowing you to drift away to Jadagu’s imaginative melodies. Her purity as a songwriter is not concealed but instead highlighted by the intriguing build-up in the instrumentation. Nineteen years old and already ready for great moments.

4. bludnymph — Watch Me

All eyes are on bludnymph. On TikTok, this American alien pop creature is already a sensation, but her music seems to be finding more and more sympathizers in the real world as well. On “Watch Me,” she marshals all her forces and builds in strong verses toward choruses meant to be screamed along by giant crowds. Alternating between rapping and singing, she goes after some artists like Ashnikko, but above all, she guarantees blood-curdling music.

5. MAVEE — I Know

R&B has many facets, yet Belgium’s MAVEE shows us a facet we haven’t heard much about within the genre until now. The production is deliberately kept minimalist in the verses, while in the choruses, the electronic elements make it sound even more dreamy. As a result, there is an intense focus on her voice and the vocal production, which creates goosebumps, especially in the last part. MAVEE has another gem with “I Know.”

6. Tanners — Suspended

To counter the Instagram- and TikTokification of music, New York-based Tanners created a mini pop era of nearly seven minutes with “Suspended”. The song goes through four different phases with distinctive moods, but at the same time, manages to blend everything together seamlessly. There is no hiding the greatness and ambition of this track, as “Suspended” stands out on a musical level.

7. Blue Mena — Twisted Time

In a few weeks, New York-based artist Blue Mena will release their debut album, Multi Adolescence, which will include “Twisted Time”. The song allows Blue Mena to blossom while paying tribute to the queer experience inspired by Arthur Rossell. The melodies are imaginative and warm and make us feel like the world can also be a hopeful place. When you close your eyes, the sun seems to find its way into your heart, finding peace of mind as well.

8. CHINCHILLA — Little Girl Gone

“Little Girl Gone” had been doing the rounds for some time before the song was officially released and profiled itself as a female rage anthem. Londoner CHINCHILLA has found a quirky and powerful way to share her art with the world with this explosive single. The polyphonic vocals already give us the feeling that a whole choir is behind her while killing it in the lead vocals. Female power at its best.

9. Dreamer Isioma — Gimme A Chance

According to legends, most dreams are deceptions, but listening to Dreamer Isioma, we dare to question that. On “Gimme A Chance,” the American independent artist shows their best side, and we get a fusion of soul, R&B, and Nigerian elements. That fusion picks up more momentum in the drums and becomes increasingly more energetic. The accompanying, self-directed music video only reinforces our feeling; Dreamer Isioma is someone to keep an eye on.

10. blackwave. and Jordan Mackampa — champion

Belgian duo blackwave. has shown with their releases that their international allure will take them far. For “champion”, they managed to find the ideal partner in crime with the UK’s Jordan Mackampa, who was able to add another color to their music with his warm sounds. blackwave. continues to hit the right waves and once again provides us with the ideal soundtrack for the warmest months of the year.
