1. Slayyyter — Out Of Time

Slayyyter has clearly been sharpening her pen because, with “Out Of Time”, the American star shows that she still knows how to write a perfect pop tune. With references to the past and the future, the song offers futuristic elements with a nostalgic touch, making it clear she is razor-sharp. She builds up nicely in the verses to the choruses, where she then accentuates and makes the difference, especially in the adlibs. So despite her not dropping stitches anywhere, the real devil is once again in the details. “Out Of Time” thus shows that time is ticking … a hit now seems very close.

2. Sam Smith and Madonna — VULGAR

Sam Smith seems to become more and more comfortable in their role as an LGBTQ+ icon, so the English artist easily managed to snare American pop queen Madonna for a new single. “Vulgar” is a clear ode to ballroom culture with its pumping beats providing the ideal setting for the statements both pop stars make. When two icons join forces, you always get fireworks.

3. gala dragot — dry kitchen

The 17-year-old gala dragot is still young but has shown on several occasions that she is already incredibly far along in her artistic vision. The Albanian-Belgian artist’s new single “dry kitchen” is a mysterious, menacing single where she almost whispers her notes and completely captivates you. What an incredibly punishing single from an up-and-coming singer.

4. ROSALÍA — TUYA

After ROSALÍA released perhaps one of the best albums of recent years with MOTOMAMI, and her world tour is bound to receive one accolade after another, the Spanish artist continues to release new music. On a soft reggaeton beat, “TUYA” highlights her voice in all its facets and ends with a plot twist by increasing the tempo. ROSALÍA is perhaps the artist of the moment.

5. LEILAH — 10FT

Thanks to her collaborations with SBTRKT, London-based LEILAH has long since ceased to be a rookie, and she shows it on “10FT”, produced by Mura Masa. On a very layered melody, she creates a fantastic laidback atmosphere with her smooth vocals and some nice jazz details. Just sit back and enjoy this new talent.

6. Le Manou — Palais des Glaces

The new single “Palais des Glaces” is far from a chilly single and provides warmth not only because of the French lyrics. In the song, the Belgian artist Le Manou seeks her way out of an ice castle by showing off a particularly sultry chorus, which is only enhanced by the beautifully balanced stanzas. The synths give the single a slightly nostalgic touch, making “Palais des Glaces” feel instantly familiar and musically at home.

7. Mondingo — Island

On “Island”, the Belgian artist Mondingo initially begins very subdued with a slight singer-songwriter vibe, but the electronic sounds soon build into a danceable whole. Consequently, the upbeat synths and singing birds in the background soon transport us to a musical oasis, which becomes increasingly euphoric and gains momentum with each chorus. “Island” is the kind of song that immediately transports us with our thoughts to sunny places where freedom and life are celebrated.

8. KC Lights and Låpsley — Better Times

Some cheerful disco house is precisely what we were craving during these warm temperatures. So we are all the more pleased that the Scottish KC Lights joined forces with the British Låpsley to create a song. “Better Times” is the perfect song for the bright summer sun with its sultry tones. The good times are coming, and this summer track will undoubtedly be among them.

9. Dj Karaba — Le Sud en Été

Canadian-Congolese DJ and producer Dj Karaba throws everything into “Le Sud en Été” to charm you completely. By combining afrobeat, jazz, and French lyrics, she creates a danceable whole, so sitting still just isn’t an option. If you are not yet in a vacation mood, you will be after hearing this fine single, which will be part of her upcoming EP, Souvenirs.

10. salome and Dviance — on my shoulderz

The Brussels-based singer salome knows how to bring an innovative sound with her ravecore songs, which sounds razor sharp in her collaboration with her regular companion Dviance. “On my shoulderz” is a song that will drop all the burden from your shoulders, as the carefree sounds the song spreads are infectious.
