1. Doja Cat — Demons

Doja Cat is in a particularly interesting artistic phase, where she seems to want to completely break away from her artistic expressions of the past. On September 22, the American rapper will release her new album Scarlet, from which “Demons” is the next interesting single. In it, she takes on the skin of the devil and raps away on a relentlessly hard production. Doja Cat no longer wants to score pop hits, opting instead for an ominously captivating sound with visuals to match. You never know Doja’s next moves, and that’s exactly what makes her exciting.

2. Jorja Smith — Falling or flying

Few voices can trigger as much emotion in us as Jorja Smith’s, which makes us particularly look forward to her long-awaited new album falling or flying (out on September 29). The English artist now also unleashed the title track on the world, and on it, she once again returns to sentimental melodies, where her beautiful voice can fully unfold. Jorja Smith possesses such elegance that “Falling or flying” finds its way to your heart like musical gold.

3. Griff — Vertigo

Griff has spent the past few years exploring the world as a support act for the likes of Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran, and Coldplay. Yet, in between touring, the English artist also found time to start working on new music. Her new single “Vertigo” originated in a secluded house, where she sought peace and quiet, becoming a song in which she shakes off the hustle and bustle to find peace. On the quiet production, she mainly uses her voice to tell her story, and she does so superbly this time, too.

4. Kylie Minogue — Tension

Australian Kylie Minogue has been an absolute icon in pop music for decades and managed to score another hit this summer with her single “Padam Padam”. “Tension” may be able to follow that up with its club beats, as she once again goes for a danceable sound that simultaneously also has quite a sensual edge. With “Tension”, she only builds the tension even more, showing she can still make incredibly relevant pop music.

5. Kids With Buns — how bad could it be

Belgian duo Kids With Buns seem to be able to appeal to a whole generation of queer youngsters with their music, as they bring beautiful coming-of-age stories that manage to touch the deepest parts of your heart. The brand-new “how bad could it be” is about the romantic feelings you develop for your best friend, something we’re sure many people can identify with. Marie Van Uytvanck’s lovely low voice easily touches a sensitive chord. So we can look forward to their debut album coming out this fall.

6. Gia Woods — Heartbreak Radio

American Gia Woods is already a celebrated musician for the LGBTQ+ community, who adore her roguish pop songs every time. “Heartbreak Radio” is the kind of pop gem that only gets better with every replay and gets you quickly moving with its clubby beats. Gia Woods knows perfectly well how to make a strong track and keeps dropping one banger after another. We will keep listening to “Heartbreak Radio” as it is irresistible.

7. Juicy Romance — Run My Mouth

You can always please us with solid rave pop where the BPM is around 140, inspired by the club culture of the early years of this millennium. As a result, Australian Juicy Romance easily hits that sweet spot with the euphoric and sexy “Run My Mouth”. From start to finish, Juicy Romance keeps pushing the accelerator and has added a dancefloor magnet that will most likely find its way into a lot of DJ sets this fall.

8. Amelia Moore — over my ex

Simply putting your ex out of your mind is always easier said than done, and Amelia Moore is perfectly aware of that. On “over my ex”, the American artist gets more personal than ever and hopes to give some heart to her heartbroken fans. Working with melancholic melodies as well as sticking to her rock-inspired sound, she creates a powerful song that underlines her full potential as an artist.

9. Lo Lauren — Only One on Earth

It’s still too early to say who will have a big year in 2024, but if UK pop powerhouse Lo Lauren continues to do as well, she could be one of next year’s surprises. Her second single, “Only One on Earth”, is a perfect pop song that exudes a carefree attitude that can only cause euphoric feelings. So keep a close eye on her in the coming months because, before you know it, Lo Lauren will be a true star.

10. Carlie Hanson — Living Feeling Dead

“Living Feeling Dead” is a single that seamlessly fits within Carlie Hanson’s musical universe. The basic ingredients of the American artist’s music are expertly thrown into the fray this time, making this single feel instantly familiar and fully encompassing her identity as an artist. The emotional undertones of the lyrics come out very well in the chorus due to her vocal performance, and we also savor the references to her previous work.
