The 10 Best Songs Of The Week

Were you too embarrassed to share your ‘Spotify Wrapped’ this week? Don’t worry because we’ve got you covered for the next year. Like every week, we listed our ten favorite songs of the week. From upcoming or debuting acts to international superstars: our selection is extremely diverse and features a wide range of genres. To make it even easier for you, we added all ten songs to our amazing Spotify playlist.

1. Kim Petras — Coconuts

We had to be very patient with Kim Petras’ new single “Coconuts”. While she already performed this giant bop at the MTV EMA’s a couple of weeks ago, we had to patiently wait for the studio version. The pop masterpiece is an ode to her boobs and introduces us further to the new album era. “Coconuts” is sexy, hilarious, and super infectious. Woo-ah!

2. K.ZIA — I Got Your Back

The Berlin-based artist K.ZIA has been working on her debut album for quite some time but is finally ready to show all the different facets of her artistry. “I Got Your Back” is a very soulful and mysterious song that reminds us a bit of SZA and Rimon. K.ZIA’s music always fills us with so much joy, and we’re even more hyped about her upcoming album.

3. cookii, Lonelyspeck, and Hearteyes — WEIRDO

When three interesting projects work together on a song, you know that you’re in for a thrill. Ahead of their appearance at Melbourne Music Week, they release their brand new track “WEIRDO” that celebrates the uniqueness of the involved acts. It’s poppy, experimental, and keeps you on your toes.

4. November Ultra — le manège

November Ultra’s new song “le manège” feels like a warm embrace on an ice-cold winter day and takes our thoughts to a magnificent mind space. Her angelic vocals are very subtle, and the fragility hits even harder due to the used autotune in some parts. “le manège” inspires us to dream and puts everything around us on hold.

5. Miraa May — In My Feelings

The British sensation Miraa May is very close to breaking through and manages to captivate more fans with every release. “In My Feelings” is a heavenly produced R&B-song, which gives us some more insight into how she’s feeling. Her flow and flawless vocals add so much sultriness to “In My Feelings”; we stan!

6. Mariposa — Gang

Mariposa is a very recent discovery of ours and brings something very refreshing to the table. The Columbian-Italian singer released her incredibly fierce new song “Gang”, where she highlights her take on Latin rap. In only 88 seconds, the rapper lets us know that we shouldn’t mess with her.

7. Will Linley — miss me (when you’re gone)

TikTok has already launched many careers and created the biggest hits on the charts. The Los Angeles-based newcomer Will Linley first teased his debut single “miss me (when you’re gone)” on the popular platform and immediately went viral. His honest and immensely catchy lyrics just are so irresistible and will definitely help him break through.

8. Jeshi — Generation

London has already brought many talented rappers forward, and Jeshi is surely one of our favorites. The rapper is an amazing storyteller and can put his frustrations into lyrics like only a few manage to do. “Generation” is a very raw and critical song about how our society urges children to grow up as quickly as possible. “Generation” is musically and lyrically spectacular.

9. flowerovlove — Saturday Yawning

She might be only 16 years old but flowerovlove has already been the face of campaigns for Gucci and Pangaia. Earlier this year, she released her debut EP Think Flower and sold out her first headline show in London. “Saturday Yawning”, her new single, is as effortless as her and radiates so much calmness. This is definitely one to watch!

10. go4broke — actress

The San Diego-based singer-songwriter go4broke is relatively new in the scene but convinced us with his new song “actress”. The pop song has a very strong production and has many little plot twists that elevate the whole song. Even though there’s a certain softness to the song, the powerful build-up grabs our attention.
