Every week, we pick the best songs of the week that surprised, moved, or electrified us. With a great range of big stars to upcoming singers, there’s room for everybody and everything. Turn up the volume because we discovered some true gems this week.

1. Zoe Wees — Lonely

The German singer Zoe Wees has captivated the world with her unique voice and belongs to the group of future breakout stars. After her hit single “Control”, Zoe’s new single “Lonely” could be her next song to conquer the radio stations. The song is an uptempo pop song with some slight R&B influences that shine through thanks to her remarkable vocals.

2. King Princess — For My Friends

King Princess released “For My Friends” with some amazing news: her new album is coming very soon, and we’re literally counting down the days. “For My Friends” is less rock-inspired and instead is a nostalgic pop song where she pays tribute to her two High School friends. King Princess owns a special place in our hearts and just captures pure feelings in her music, which is exactly why we love “For My Friends” so much.

3. GALE — Inmadura

GALE is Sony Music Latin’s latest signing and brings together all the elements that could make her a huge star. Her single “Inmadura” has a catchy chorus, combines reggaeton with pop, and immediately makes you look forward to summer. After writing songs for the likes of Christina Aguilera and Shakira, she’s demanding the spotlight for herself and manages to convince us with her latest song “Inmadura”.

4. IKRAAAN — Dans

Belgian singer IKRAAAN is not just a singer, she’s a real artist and dares to share her deepest emotions through her music. Her new song “Dans” is no exception to that with its breathtaking music video and stunning production. Her soft vocals work incredibly well with the string arrangements and will immediately move you. IKRAAAN’s debut album Geestelijke Gezondheidszorg is coming out on April 22nd, so get ready for a true piece of art.

5. Princess Nokia — No Effort

Princess Nokia’s influence on the hip-hop scene remains without a doubt underrated, but the singer continues to drop one great song after the other. In her new song “No Effort”, she’s bringing her effortless rap skills to the table and just ate without leaving any crumbs. “No Effort” honestly is a true vibe and there’s no way we’re missing her next summer at a festival. Catch us in the front row at DOUR Festival!

6. MAHALIA — Whatever Simon Says

The queen of relatable R&B? Mahalia is still wearing her crown and has been teasing a lot of new music these past few months. Ahead of her upcoming UK tour, “Whatever Simon Says” came out and feels like a throwback to her successful hit “I Wish I Missed My Ex”. Her vocals have such a calming vibe on “Whatever Simon Says” that we already fell in love with the song from the very first second.

7. Shoko Igarashi — CASH OK

The Japanese saxophonist Shoko Igarashi has found a new home in Brussels and has already attracted the interest of important media and bookers with her jazzy productions. “CASH OK” is her second official release and showcases her incredible talent for composing interesting jazz music. While there are many classical elements in the track, there’s still a futuristic touch that we really admire.

8. Saya Gray — IF THERE’S NO SEAT IN THE SKY (WILL YOU FORGIVE ME???)

The Canadian-Japanese singer-songwriter and producer Saya Gray is an absolute talent and got signed by Dirty Hit (The 1975, Rina Sawayama, Beabadoobee). “IF THERE’S NO SEAT IN THE SKY (WILL YOU FORGIVE ME???” is a thrilling introduction to her debut project 19 MASTERS (out June 2nd), where all the pieces of the puzzle perfectly fit together, indicating that this is surely not the last thing we’ve heard of her.

9. Aubrey Haddard — Just A Wall

Aubrey Haddard loves to blur the line between pop and rock music and has already proven that she’s able to write amazing songs. “Just A Wall” is a new atmospheric anthem, that starts rather shy and fragile but quickly builds up to a true climax. The honesty in the lyrics shines through in the epic composition, where guitar chords are taking the lead to create a dreamy sound.

10. Devon Again — All My Fault

“All My Fault” is only the third single release of the upcoming singer Devon Again, but she clearly already knows which direction she wants to go in. Armed with a rock-solid voice, she goes all-in on this new single and surprises us with some unexpected runs that highlight her vocal ability. If you fall in love with her and can’t get “All My Fault” out of your head, don’t blame us.
