In our weekly selection of the best songs, we unveil upcoming superstars and major bops, so grab your headphones and follow our brand-new Spotify playlist.

1. Noémie Wolfs — Lonely Heart

Belgian singer Noémie Wolfs is finally back on the scene, announcing her third album, Wild At Heart, (out in November) along with the release of her new single “Lonely Heart”. On that single, she immediately showcases her new sound, as her new music sounds more electronic and builds towards a climax with an arsenal of analog synths. In just under eight minutes, she enchants us with her conjuring pop melodies, which are given a natural Hollywood grandeur by the strings, proving that she is perhaps our country’s most elegant pop singer.

2. Eartheater — Pure Smile Snake Venom

Eartheater once again sets her teeth into our necks with her new single “Pure Smile Snake Venom”, which sounds as menacing yet elegant as a snake. Of course, the American artist remains true to her ethereal sounds, resulting once more in an incantatory gem for fans of alternative pop music. Only this time, she seems to have developed even more love for hopeful melodies, and it sounds a bit less dark thanks to Sega Bodega’s production. We are therefore very curious to see how Eartheater will develop on her next project because “Pure Smile Snake Venom” has become another pretty interesting gesamtkunstwerk.

3. Izzi De-Rosa — cinderella

Are you in need of a fun track that oozes absolute ‘fuck you’ energy? Because we’re always up for that. In “cinderella”, British pop starlet Izzi De-Rosa uses her charisma to write a new pop fairy tale on an incredibly pleasing production. As a result, she manages to be particularly refreshing and shows her full potential as your new pop obsession. It’s cheeky and edgy, and such an excellent track for that very reason.

4. Conan Gray — Winner

Many believe the future of music lies in the past, and after the remarkable renaissance of disco in pop music, 1980s rock-pop classics seem to be making their big comeback in the music world. The American singer was clearly inspired by the likes of Queen for his new album, giving the timeless sound a facelift on “Winner”. In it, the verses are the resting points only to increase the intensity of the choruses. Conan Gray is going to make a lot of music fans happy with his new album if he continues this trend.

5. BLUAI — In Over My Head

For those looking to completely unwind after a busy summer of festivals and late nights at sunset, we can only recommend the new single from the Belgian all-female trio BLUAI. “In Over My Head” is an indie pop gem that is also the first single from their upcoming debut album, and with its warm sounds and compelling chorus, it is an absolute must-listen for boygenius and Snail Mail fans.
