The 7 Hottest New Singles Of The Week

The title might be misleading but no, we’re not featuring single people looking for love (for now). We’re obviously talking about seven new songs that have been released this week and deserve a spot on your playlist.

1. Eartheater — Volcano

Is Eartheater human? We still don’t know but what we do know is that she’s making music that really impacts you. Her third album Trinity was one of our favorite underrated albums of 2019 and her new album Phoenix: Flames Are Dew On My Skin seems to be equally as interesting based on the singles. “Volcano” stole our hearts right away and will steal yours too.

2. Dreamer Boy — Know You

Yihaa! Zach Taylor might be from Nashville, the capital of country music, but his music is (luckily) a bit more interesting. His new song “Know You” talks about all the aspects of a great friendship and dares you to dream thanks to the incredible melodies, which reminds us of Troye Sivan and LANY.

3. beabadoobee — Worth It

For indie-pop fans, beabadoobee is definitely one of the biggest discoveries of the year. The British-Filipino singer was included in BBC’s Sound Of 2020 and is determined to end this year with a band. “Worth It” lives up to the title and is the perfect introduction to her artistry. We hope she surprises us even more on her first album Fake It Flowers, which is set for a release in October.

4. Stefflon Don — Move

If you’re already totally over “WAP”, which we hardly doubt, Stefflon Don  is here with a massive hit. The British rap starlet has scored several hits, and we can’t wait to see her score a massive hit on her own. “Move” is catchy, slaps hard, and is a little bit naughty. Sounds like a perfect combination, right?

5. Ruel — as long as you care

He’s from down under, but he’s aiming for the top. The young singer Ruel is already a superstar in Australia and New Zealand but is still an unknown singer to the rest of the world. “as long as you care” is a cute and heartwarming song with the potential to conquer the heart of teenagers all over the world.

6. FLETCHER — Shh… Don’t Say It

FLETCHER’s new project THE S(EX) TAPES is quite ambitious because she’s been releasing a new single every week over the last couple of months. Her newest track “Shh… Don’t Say It” is probably one of the best songs she’s released so far and has been stuck in our heads since the very first time we heard the song.

7. Janelle Monáe — Turntables

Janelle Monáe is known for her statements in her songs, so it doesn’t come as a surprise that her new song “Turntables” is a song with a big message. It’s the soundtrack for Amazon’s Original movie All In: Fight for Democracy and is a powerful song where Monáe is motivating people to stand up for themselves. Janelle Monáe is a trailblazer and still one of the most important artists of this generation.
