3D textures
The virtual library will allow designers to test out different textures on 3D versions of their own designs before committing to purchasing the fabric in-store. This way, designers can make a more conscious decision on the fabric that suits their project best.
“There are plenty of 3D fabrics available online, but it’s a challenge to find quality textures that have a real-life counterpart in store,” says co-founder Quinten Schaap. Besides digitalizing our library, we are also collaborating with MoMu to host special projects with the virtual fabrics.”
For the launch of their virtual library, BAKERMAT asked 3D artists, designers, and virtual wizards to create art using the digital textures and fabrics. The result? A series of inspiring artworks.
