The Pukkelpop 2022 Lineup Is Here: Our First Favorites

This summer promises to be the best summer in a while with the return of the big festivals, and we’re already preparing ourselves for days without sleep. The Belgian festival Pukkelpop has finally released 90% of their upcoming edition, and let it be said: this lineup makes up for two summers without festivals and showcases a lot of exciting new talents and established acts. (Spoiler: it’s probably one of the best lineups of the summer)

Pre-party on Thursday

Every good Pukkelpop edition starts with a pre-party on the festival site, where some of the tents like the Boiler Room or Dance Hall receive the first party people. Artists like Sylvie Kreusch, CoelyChibi Ichigo, High Hi, Froukje, STIKSTOF and Yong Yello are among the artists set to make a splash with their live set, while acts such as Cisco FM, Amber Broos, Jewels and Kestified will set the tents on fire. With this varied lineup, we’re sure that Pukkelpop will take off like never before.

T.G.I.F.

The first real festival day will be on Friday 18 August with Slipknot and Cypress Hill as headliners. If you’re not a big rock fan, there are many other acts to see that day. Our ET faves Ashnikko, Tamino, James Blake, Charlotte Adigéry & Bolis Pupul, Sega Bodega and Soulwax are all set to appear on one of the many stages. Other great artists like Mahalia, RomySelah Sue, Berwyn, carolesdaughter, Declan McKenna, Jordan Rakei, Merol, MEYY, Pa Salieu, SaSaSaS, slowthai, The Haunted Youth, Wargasm, and Yussef Dayes are also ready to return to the festival stage.

Superstar Saturday

On Saturday, the headliners are techno queen Charlotte De Witte and the psychedelic heroes Tame Impala. They will be joined by Jamaican superstar Sean Paul, the eclectic soul group Jungle, UK’s rap star Dave, and the techno queens Nina Kraviz and Paula Temple. We’re also looking forward to seeing 100 gecs, 24kGoldn, Arlo Parks, GAYLE, Ibeyi, Lola Haro, Mall Grab and Wet Leg. Our pop hearts beat a bit faster with the announcements of PinkPantheress, Self Esteem, Tkay MaidzaMimi Webb, and Noah Cyrus, whose recent projects we all loved.

Sunny Sunday

If you’re already convinced by the acts so far, wait until you see the lineup for the last day. The headliners of Sunday are Arctic Monkeys, Bring Me The Horizon, and our former cover star Oscar and The Wolf. They get the company of the emo-girl herself WILLOW, our new favorite Jack Harlow, the “Heat Waves”-stars Glass Animals, the Grammy-winner H.E.R., and the charming Tom Misch. Moreover, the American superstar Madison Beer, the mind-blowing trio Gabriels, and the Norwegian pop princess Sigrid. Also on the bill: Gus Dapperton, Joy Crookes, jxdn, M I M I, Nova Twins, Remi Wolf, and Role Model.

Discover the whole lineup on Pukkelpop’s site. Tickets will go on sale on Thursday 24th of March.
