This Belgian Designer Makes Lingerie Out of Vintage Adidas Tracksuits

Antwerp-based designer Jasmien Van Loo might ring a bell as the designer who made a Furby inspired collection or the one who occasionally dresses rapper Glints, amongst others. Now, Van Loo has been reworking and upcycling vintage tracksuits into some of the coolest lingerie sets we’ve seen in a while.

“As I was finishing the second Van Loo collection — which is coming soon — I started investigating and experimenting even more with how to create fashion which is 100% sustainable,” Van Loo tells us. “It’s a cause that is very close to my heart. I started upcycling tons of old items and had lots of fun doing it, but it’s when I combined the upcycling-idea with my love for (and education in) lingerie that things really clicked.”

Jasmien Van Loo has created a whole range of bras and lingerie out of vintage tracksuits and other sportswear, which will drop in the following weeks. Each item will be hand made, with only one set available.

The first set will go on sale this Wednesday the 3rd of February. Make sure to keep an eye on her Instagram page for updates!
