This month’s must watch movies

Autumn generally treats us with loads of good new film candy. After having spent two months at the beach it’s time to get cosy again. If you have no idea at all about what to expect… We made a little list of this month’s must watch movies.

1. Miss Peregrine’s home for peculiar children

We unanimous about the fact that this movie is the n°1 on our must watch list. It might have something to do with the “peculiar children” in the title. Or the fact that Tim Burton directed it. After the trailer was released in March 2016, we almost couldn’t wait to see this film based on the novel by Ransom Riggs. The film will be out on the 25th of September (USA).

2. The light between oceans

We don’t know about you but we’ve been waiting for a while to see power couple Alicia Vikander and Michael Fassbender playing together. The actual storyline doesn’t speak to us that much. But we’re sure the two main actors will make up for that with loads of on-screen chemistry. The movie was released on the 2nd of September in the USA.

3. Bridget Jones’s baby

Yes, she’s back! The woman we all could relate to in one way or another. This time she ends up being pregnant without knowing who the father is. Colin Firth assumes once again the role of Mr Darcy. And good news for the Grey’s Anatomy fans: Patrick Dempsey plays the role of Jack, Bridget’s other love interest. Bridget Jones’s baby will be out in the USA on September 16th.

4. Queen of Katwe

Our favorite Lupita Nyong’o is back. Not in a dramatic film about slavery this time but a Disney movie this time. Since it’s very rare that a large American producer choses a non-caucasian cast, we absolutely have to support Queen of Katwe. Released in the USA on the 30th of September.

5. Storks

Nothing beats a good animated movie. And definitely not a Warner Bros one with talking storks in the main role. Out in the USA on the 23rd of September.
