Trixie Whitley Stuns With New Single ‘Touch’

New year, new me! That’s what American-Belgian singer Trixie Whitley probably thought when she worked on her new music. Her two albums ‘Fourth Corner’ and ‘Porta Bohemica’ led to an unseen success in Belgium and made her one of the biggest female artists in the country. Four years after the last album, Trixie is finally back with new music.

Trixie has music in her genes. Her father, Chris Whitley, was a musician himself too and influenced Trixie a lot throughout her own musical career. Trixie was born in Ghent, but her family moved to New York when she was one year old. Brooklyn is still her home and is a place where she gets a lot of creative ideas, which she translates into her music.

Touch

Her new single “Touch” is the follow-up of “Heartbeat”, the comeback single she released back in April 2018, and is an addictive, alternative pop song. The famous Run The Jewels producer, Little Shalimar, worked with Whitley on her new album and developed a new, fresh sound. A strong beat, uplifting electronic sounds and of course Trixie’s voice make her new single sound different compared to her previous work, without losing the captivating soul you can find in every song of her.

Trixie sounds more powerful and determined than ever before and we absolutely love it. The new single release comes with the news that her third album Lacuna will be released at the end of March 2019. Experimenting and finding your new sound isn’t easy, but Trixie seems to take this hurdle with an elegant ease.
