WATCH: Celine Homme Spring/Summer 2023 by Hedi Slimane

If there’s one thing Celine has taught us during COVID, it’s that they are not bothered to keep us waiting. So in true Celine fashion, the brand just released its runway video: five weeks after their physical runway show in Paris.

For its first physical runway show since COVID, the house of Celine decided to make a mark by closing the men’s fashion week and inviting some of the most noteworthy guests of the season. On Sunday night, a group of lucky fashion showgoers gathered at the Palais de Tokyo. Among them: Blackpink’s Lisa, BTS member Kim Tae-hyung also known as ‘V’, and Korean actor Park Bo-gum. With Korean pop royalty in attendance, the crowd outside was crazy.

Other guests included Bryanboy, Camille Razat, Diana Silvers, Eddie Redmayne, Tame Impala’s front singer Kevin Parker, and more.

Dysfunctional Bauhaus

On June 26th, Hedi Slimane did his long-anticipated runway comeback with Celine for its Spring/Summer 2023 collection named ‘Dysfunctional Bauhaus’. With artworks from David Weiss Alyss Estay, and Renata Petersen, the collection felt refreshing but also served as an homage to Hedi’s previous work.

The location of this Celine Homme Spring/Summer 2023 runway show was the Palais de Tokyo in Paris. Europe’s largest center for contemporary creation also hosted Hedi Slimane’s Dior Homme Spring/Summer 2002 show. Now, 20 years later, he made his return to the epic location with Celine. In a statement, Celine said Slimane always had a fascination for its art deco monumental architecture.
