Weekday Launches Organic Denim Like It’s 1999 Collection

Where’s the time when at least one person a day was spotted with their G-string popping-up during lunch break at school. Whether accidentally or not accidentally, let’s leave that debate for now. There were no cell phones, nor internet and there was no question of climate change. Weekday is bringing back those fun and carefree days, however, adapted to current times with an organic denim collection inspired by the 1999s.

The same but 100% organic

In 1999, we didn’t know that producing a single pair of jeans requires an immense amount of water and energy and creates significant pollution. That there were also pesticides involved was the least of our worries. Fortunately, in that case, things changed for the better and Weekday is taking a lead when it comes to the environmental matter. This collection will be made from 100% organic cotton.

This collection reflects the Weekday denim core, but it is also a celebration of having reached the 2020 cotton goal, which has led to all cotton in the brand assortment being organic or recycled. Reaching this goal is a big step towards all materials being sourced in a more responsible way by 2030.

Long live evolution

Also style-wise a few details got adapted to our current wishes. The extreme low-waisted trousers that made your legs look like stumps were exchanged by a more elegant fit. This means the G-string will accentuate your back instead of giving the impression that your butt will fall out. Long live evolution!

The collection drops on January 23rd and will be available in selected stores and via weekday’s online store.
