What You Need to Know About the Bagscape This Winter

Besides the usual leather crossbody, tote, shoulder,… bags there are some newcomers entering the bagscape this winter. Maybe new isn’t the right word since all of these current trends have been launched once or twice the past decades. Different or outstanding might just be more accurate descriptions.

Laundry bag

A lot has been said and written about the Balenciaga bags the past seasons. Demna Gvasalia clearly knows how to open a discussion. First there was Bazar, then the “Ikea” and now the paper and laundry bag. Most people don’t understand the hype, we do. Sometimes it isn’t bad to shake things up a little. Agreed, there might be a resemblance with some popular utility products. But the Balenciaga designs are damn pretty, end of discussion!

Acne Studios Baker Tote Bag

Paper tote bag

Acne Studios just launched its Paper tote, inspired by the typical grocery bags. This isn’t entirely a new idea. Raf Simons designed one for his last Jill Sander collection and it sold out in minutes. Even back then, everyone laughed about the fact that a very cheap practical product could become an expensive collectors item. The Jill Sander one has become very hard to get. But in case you’re interested, the Acne Baker tote can be yours for only 370€.

Connectable bags

If you like a change once in a while, these connectable bags from Gucci might be just the accessory you need. It’s possible to wear just one or you can add as many as you like in different shapes, prints and colors. However, we suggest not to overdo.

Patent Candy Wrapper Pouch

To our opinion, a clutch really is a stupid and unpractical accessory. When you go to a very classy event some other bags might be oversized, agreed! But in real life there are 99 better options. Unless you go for this candy bar from MM6. It’s just very cute.
