A Tribute to Y/Project’s Radical DNA
Heaven by Marc Jacobs breathes new life into Y/Project’s signature deconstruction, merging both brands’ aesthetics into a rebellious streetwear collection. The campaign, starring Opium rapper Ken Carson and model Alana Champion, showcases statement pieces that pay homage to the label’s experimental nature.
Expect extreme proportions and layered textures—hallmarks of Y/Project’s identity. The collection includes extra-long-sleeved denim jackets, ultra-stacked jeans, and cropped hoodies emblazoned with “Y/PROJECT by Marc Jacobs” branding. Classic Y/Project motifs such as letter belts, twisted denim, and distorted knitwear make a return, blending seamlessly with Heaven’s Y2K-infused aesthetic under creative director Ava Nirui. Accessories like butterfly earrings, chain-wielding bags, and heart-lock silver hardware round out the collection, ensuring the label’s last hurrah is as daring as ever.
While this collaboration won’t revive Y/Project, it does offer fans a proper send-off—one last opportunity to own a piece of the brand’s rebellious DNA. As Glenn Martens moves on to his new role at Maison Margiela, Y/Project’s influence will live on, even as its physical doors remain shut.
The Y/Project x Heaven by Marc Jacobs collection is available via the Marc Jacobs website and at the Heaven flagship in Los Angeles.
