Yseult Expresses Her Emotions In The Fantastic Video For ‘Noir’

French music has claimed its place in the international music scene. At the moment it’s with acts like Angèle, Vendredi Sur Mer and Claire Laffut as female front-runners. Today, we’re adding Yseult to that list. The Parisian singer caught our attention with her Trap/Pop music that keeps us buzzing. After competing in a French talent show, she found herself as an artist and amazes us with her new song “Noir”.

We’ve seen it happen many times, but the runner-up of a talent competition gets even further in the end. Yseult became second in Nouvelle Star, but five years after her mainstream debut, she shows us that she deserves all the attention she’s getting at the moment.

It took us a second to put into words how incredibly beautiful the clip for her new single “Noir” is. The music video is celebrating the different beauties of black culture by creating diversity and accentuating harmony. The shots, the choreography, the styling, … everything is so well put together that this is probably one of the best music videos we’ve seen so far this year. Talking about the story of the song, Yseult didn’t want to hide anymore and wants to leave her past behind by being a stronger person. And let it be said, she’s an extremely strong person!
