2. Het Anker

Het Anker is the first brewery hotel of Belgium and is located in a 15th-century brewery in the Large Beguinage in Mechelen. Due to the unique architecture of the Large Beguinage, the place was declared a UNESCO world heritage site, so the perfect location to spend the night, right? On top of that rich history, Het Anker is a 10-minute walk away from the city center, has (of course) a brewery, a restaurant, and a sun terrace.

5. Martin’s Patershof

Martin’s Patershof is an extremely famous hotel in Mechelen, which is exactly why it can’t be missing from our list. Situated in a former church, this hotel lies in the middle of the historic center of Mechelen. The rooms are unlike anything you’ve ever experienced because while the furniture is modern, the walls, ceiling, and windows still look exactly like a church. Romantic and enchanting are an understatement to describe a stay here.

6. Porta Superia

A stone’s throw away from the city center, you’ll find Porta Superia, a luxurious B&B. Five years ago, the B&B opened as two rooms in the house of the owners Michael and Kurt, but in 2020 they changed location.
