Our 10 Favorite Series Releasing This December

Nothing is cozier than curling up on the couch after a long cold day, ready to watch a good series. Make yourself a hot chocolate, grab a fuzzy blanket, and turn on your television. All you need to do is choose from a bountiful selection of new series full of drama, love, and action. Here are our top suggestions to watch this December!

1. Gossip Girl (season 2)

More tension, more drama, and even more scandals. Never a dull moment with the notorious elite of New York’s Upper East Side. The second season of the Gossip Girl reboot comes out as an early Christmas present. But be warned: this one will be bittersweet thanks to the inevitable catfight between the two Manhattan queens Julien Calloway and Monet de Haan. And good news for the fans of the OG series because Georgina Sparks is making a comeback this season! We know you guys missed her (xoxo…)

‘Gossip Girl’ season 2 is coming to HBO Max on December 1.

2. Smiley

In need of a classic rom-com night? Well, maybe Smiley can be your new guilty pleasure of the month. This new Netflix series brings you to the sultry Barcelona where two men meet by coincidence (you never guessed it!). With its eight episodes of just over half an hour, this series is perfect for a binge!

‘Smiley’ is coming to Netflix on December 7.

3. Doom Patrol (season 4)

‘The chief’ and his team officially return to your screen for the fourth season of Doom Patrol. As part of the DC crew, this aberrant superhero group gets ready for a new run of unconventional challenges. Created by Jeremy Carver, this show is always very enthusiastically received by its audience. Are you wondering what Jane, Mr. Nobody, and Cliff Steele will have to deal with next? Be sure to watch the epic trailer!

‘Doom Patrol’ season 4 is coming to HBO Max on December 8.

4. Harry & Meghan

Royalty watchers have been looking forward to the documentary Harry & Meghan for months, and the wait is finally over. In this six-part series, we get a glimpse into Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s life after their breakup from British royalty. The question is if it will be a bullishly sweet story about how sparks flew between the British prince and the American actress or rather a vicious indictment of the British royal family…?

‘Harry & Meghan’ volume one is coming to Netflix on December 8.

5. Little America

Another low-profile recommendation this month is the second season of Little America. This Internet series is made up of separate episodes, each about the story of immigrants in the United States. It is funny, romantic, and, above all, genuinely inspiring. And fun fact about the series: most episodes are based on true stories.

‘Little America’ season 2 is coming to Apple TV+ on December 9.

6. 1923

As a prequel to Yellowstone and sequel to 1883, Taylor Sheridan worked on his new series titled 1923. What we know so far is that it is set to be another western drama about the Dutton generation in Montana. The lead role is performed by the famous and praised American actor Harrison Ford.

‘1923’ is coming to Paramount+ on December 18.

7. Emily in Paris (season 3)

If the holidays didn’t already put you in a sweet mood, Netflix is raising the bar with the release of the third season of Emily in Paris. Get ready to watch Lily Collins once again live her chaotic life in the ‘city of love’ as she tries to pursue her dream. And there is even more good news because the British-American actress announced via her Instagram that a fourth season for the show has already been confirmed.

‘Emily in Paris’ season 3 is coming to Netflix on December 21.

8. The Head (season 2)

What is it like to hibernate at an abandoned research station at the south pole? In the first season of The Head, we witnessed how a climate research team stayed on the Polaris VI while losing all communication with the outside world. Although not much is known about the plot of the second season, HBO released a short teaser that already foreshadows plenty of suspense and even more mystery!

‘The Head’ season 2 is coming to HBO Max on December 22.

9. Alice in Borderland

If you loved the Korean drama Squid Game, then you’ve probably heard of the Netflix series Alice in Borderland. The story is about a young gamer named Ryohei and his two friends who end up in a parallel version of the city of Tokyo. In their quest to survive, a series of life-or-death games await them. The second season is coming in late December and promises to unload a good dose of fresh action!

‘Alice in Borderland’ season 2 is coming to Netflix on December 22.

10. The Witcher: Blood Origin

A big treat for fans of The Witcher, as the long-awaited prequel miniseries is about to arrive. The four-part series The Witcher: Blood Origin takes us back in time, 1200 years before Geralt, to the era when the Witchers began… After a whole year of work and production, the result looks spectacular and promising!

‘The Witcher: Blood Origin’ is coming to Netflix on December 25.
