1. Rachel Chinouriri — Ribs

The advance of Rachel Chinouriri no longer seems unstoppable. Before the English singer leaves on tour in May through the UK (including three sold-out shows in London), she unloads another song with “Ribs”, showcasing her massive talent. Her mix between poppy melodies and an alternative approach through the guitars and drums allows her to create something refreshing with familiar ingredients. We are completely in awe of this super talent.

2. yunè pinku — Blush Cut

Malaysian-Irish yunè pinku has been on our radar for a while now and is building on her big break with her new EP, BABYLON IX. Her understated soft vocals fit perfectly with the upbeat, dreamy productions. O,n the single “Blush Cut”, she creates a quirky atmosphere, getting us in the right mood for spring and summer.

3. Dagny — Heartbreak In The Making

It has been four years since we spoke with Norwegian pop star Dagny, and the evolution she has made since then has been staggering. In addition to the news that she will play her biggest headlining show ever, she released a nostalgic pop tune with a summer flair with “Heartbreak In The Making.” Her powerful pop voice skips along with the production, giving us a carefree feeling.

4. Shlundee — RUN IT!

In Belgium, there is an awful lot of emerging talent waiting to be discovered. Producer and DJ Shlundee is one of them, as his atmospheric productions beckon the bigger stages. The new track “RUN IT!” is alive with jazzy influences, which—along with bubbling electronica—create a soaring feeling. Shlundee will take you to cloud nine, and then just let the universe drag you along.

5. Mahina — Think I Like You

Belgian-Congolese multi-talent Mahina is currently preparing her new EP, which she recorded last year in Uganda with the Nyege Nyega collective. The single “Think I Like You” is a perfect taste of that, with the various backings providing the extra warm feeling to the rhythmic drums in the background. “Think I Like You” exudes joie de vivre and positivity, which immediately made us fall in love with it.

6. Jess Glynne — Silly Me

Jess Glynne is among the most successful British singers of recent decades, making her comeback long-awaited. “Silly Me” is her first solo release since 2019 and came about after a dark period, which inspired her for her upcoming third album. Even though the single is not as uptempo as we’re used to from her, there is so much hope and joy behind this single, making us glad she is back with new music.

7. Kesha – Eat The Acid

Kesha’s story is one of trial and error, but the American singer is stronger than ever before. On her upcoming fifth album, Gag Order (Release: May 19), she goes in a new musical direction, and the first single, “Eat The Acid”, is already leaving a strong first impression. The production focuses on a synth line while bringing the story perfectly thanks to a slight vocal distortion, which adds an additional fragility.

8. Izzy Camina — Loser Deadbeat

Izzy Camina’s hobby and driving force is reinventing herself with each single. The British-American pop provocateur goes for another innovative sound with “Loser Deadbeat,” where influences from house, techno, and drum’n’bass mix with pop music. The slightly casual energy in her vocals completes the picture, leaving us to conclude that we want to hear much more from this singer in the future.

9. MALU — Comfort Zone

Not everyone likes to leave their comfort zone, and we can reassure you that “Comfort Zone” by Danish-Corsian singer MALU is incredibly accessible. The laidback atmosphere and funky vibe only increase the butterflies in our stomachs as the song progresses. The relaxed and conversational mood makes this single the perfect way to unwind.

10. Junodef — She Wants to Win

On “She Wants To Win”, all Junodef’s influences come together in an incantatory track, where the passion and longing can be clearly heard. We hear some pop elements, which gain greatness thanks to art rock, new wave, and shoegaze influences. The overworked vocals give the stanzas an extra dreamy edge, and with each chorus, the Swedish-born three-piece wakes you back up with the menacing undertones of the guitars and synths. Junodef looks for points of light in the darkness in “She Wants To Win” and ultimately succeeds on a musical level.
