Everything You Need to Know About Morphae’s Look for Brussels Pride

Have you ever wondered what a day at Brussels Pride looks like for a drag artist? Well, we’ve got you covered! We spent the day of Pride with artist and drag performer Morphae.

Even though Pride is a vibrant celebration, it’s important to remember we are honoring the journey toward equality and the ongoing struggle for rights and acceptance. Today, Pride represents more than just parades and festivities; it embodies resilience, unity, and visibility. Pride is a reminder of the progress made since the Stonewall Riots of 1969, a pivotal moment in LGBTQ+ history, and the challenges that remain.

Morphae’s Pride

Morphae’s Brussels Pride started at the Hotel Fleur de Ville, where we got an exclusive preview of the soon-to-be-opened hotel. Alongside a coffee and some of the hotel breakfast, she started her three-hour-long makeup process using NYX Professional Makeup. Some of the products Morphae used for her Pride look are the Epic Ink Liner, Slim Eye Pencil, Epic Wear Liquid Liner in white, and a lot of brushes, including the Total Control Drop Foundation Brush.

Morphae’s outfit was an homage to her dad: “The reason why I worked around paper and geographic maps for Pride is that my dad died two years ago, the day after Pride. He had always been a fan of geography and had multiple maps on the walls, one of which I inherited and folded into this big paper fan. The rest of the neutral tones and wrinkled fabric are just symbols of fragility, wrinkled skin, and senescence. I really dislike Pride because it makes me sad. The least I could do was to make something for him.”

The outfit was made by Florent Seligmann and topped off with the shiny and glamorous Ravaged sandal from Steve Madden.
