It’s always exciting to see your photo featured in one of the big magazines like Vogue, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, etc. For some, it’s a dream and for others, it’s the most common thing. If you ever run into celebs like Naomi Campbell, Chiara Ferragni or Sita Abellan in Paris and witness how crazy it gets when photographers and fans spot them, you’ll understand. There’s no need to be a celeb to become a street style star. Basically, anyone can do it and that’s why we wrote down a list of six useful tips on how to become a street style star in 2019.
To stand out you need a powerful and colorful combination. You’ll have enough casual Mondays to dress in monochrome black or gray. During fashion week you need to flash to catch the photographer’s attention. Because let’s be honest the photographers make the street style stars, not the other way around.

People love brands, we know that already. For the past year, logomania has been very common from the runways to the boutiques and in the streets. The devoted brand advocates don’t mind showing off their favorite garment filled with logo prints. Not only to flaunt but also to express their love for their favorite brand. However, during fashion week it’s allowed to flash that logo print in front of the photographer.
If there was an award for most worn and talked-about logo this year, it would go to Fendi and Prada. (Not the Gucci or Louis Vuitton one).

The more a brand is talked about, the more it will be used in articles, that’s our theory. Some brands get better by the season, take Prada or Fendi for instance. For the last three seasons, their brand became top-of-mind again. These two labels have launched epic it-bags, shoes and other accessories that took over the streets. Also, Louis Vuitton just launched their new Archlight sneaker-boots from outer space and we predict they will be pretty big.
So choose wisely and you have all the chances to be featured in the big magazines.

If a colorful combination isn’t anything you’d wear, try mixing prints. You can go for a plaid coat mixed with a flashy color ensemble or a leopard print top. Nothing is too much when you want to become a street style star in 2019.

The right sunglasses, bag or an extra bucket hat will make the difference. Nonetheless, to really stand out from the big crowd you have to come up with improved ways of accessorizing. When you do things that are out of this world, people tend to appreciate it more. You can mix a heavy snake print garment with a super classic bag or wear accessories that send out a funny and relatable message.

The sole purpose of a fashion show is to showcase your next collection to a limited selection of journalists, buyers, celebrities, influencers, very important clients and photographers (to capture the fashion moments). Even though being spotted with an invite of a particular show might help, it isn’t always necessary. This is not a stab towards the people standing outside a show in the hope of being photographed. What we’re saying here is that being at the right time at the right moment is key.
