Editor Pick: These Products Will Level-Up Your Hair Game

Life isn’t perfect, but your hair could be, right? At least, if you manage to find a good product in today’s huge range of lines and brands. As someone who is not blessed with easy, healthy hair, I am always looking for the best care for my beloved locks, and during that search, I stumbled across some gems. Luckily, we don’t gatekeep over here, and I’ll happily share my finds.

Kérastase Elixir Ultime — €43,95 on Zalando

This hair oil changed my life. Having dry, chemically-treated hair, I’ve been using hair oils for years to battle the frizz. But most oils tend to make your hair greasy and heavy. The result? Having to wash it more often because of the residue is just a pain in the ass. However, not with this one from Kérastase.

The Elixir Ultime has multiple ways to use it, which I love. After washing my hair, I apply just one pump of oil before drying and styling it. This makes the hair easy to comb through and offers heat protection. After styling, you will notice that your hair is noticeably softer with a beautiful shine.

On non-washing days, I like to use a little pump on dry hair to freshen up and get rid of frizz quickly. It instantly revives your hair and prepares it for another quick styling session. Best of all is that after months of using it religiously, I truly believe it has made my hair stronger and healthier. A big win!

Color Wow Dream Filter — €29,38 on CultBeauty

Wherever you live, chances are you have to wash with hard water, which contains many minerals and metals that get deposited in your precious locks. That’s no bueno, especially when you have chemically-treated/colored hair because it’s one of the main causes why your color gets messed up.

The Color Wow Dream Filter treatment removes all the bad stuff from your hair, brightens it, and prevents colors from fading. And it’s easy to use! Just saturate your dry hair with the spray, then wait three minutes before jumping into the shower and continuing your regular hair routine.

With summer coming up, there’s another plus to using this treatment: it also removes chlorine! So, if you’re planning to take some dips in the pool, the Dream Filter is your buddy.

OUAI Detox Shampoo — €23,95 on Zalando

Something that not many people realize is that we put massive amounts of products into our hair. Most of the time, traditional shampoos are not good enough to get all that residue out. That’s why a detox shampoo can be a really good idea once in a while.

I’ve been trying the Detox Shampoo from OUAI and absolutely love it. Formulated with apple cider vinegar, it will deeply cleanse dirt and oil. It also removes the buildup from styling products and hard water deposits. It leaves your hair and scalp squeaky clean without being extremely dry. It’s especially great when you’re dealing with oily hair or a dry scalp. Beware though because this is not an everyday product. It is recommended to use this shampoo no more than once a week.

Kevin Murphy Repair Me Rinse — €35 on CultBeauty

I’ve been a huge fan of Kevin Murphy products for years, ever since my hairdresser introduced me to the brand. One of my ultimate favorites is the Repair Me Rinse, a strengthening conditioner that nourishes the hair and leaves your locks shiny, sleek, and soft.

What’s great about this conditioner is that it doesn’t make the hair heavy afterward. Even when I leave it in for 30 minutes to really get that nourishment, my hair is still lightweight and bouncy. If you have very dry hair, this one should become your best friend. A nice extra is that it leaves a wonderfully delicious scent.
