Ocean’s 8: Everything We Know so Far About the All-Female Spinoff

The internet was buzzing again when the official poster of Ocean’s 8 landed. Another part of the worldwide web claimed that it’s all about the coats and Rihanna’s fans totally lost it. We really like the coats too, to be honest. But the much-anticipated American film, planned to be in theatres on June 8, serves a lot more than coats only. This spin-off slash sequel of the Ocean’s trilogy directed by Gary Ross and written by Ross & Olivia Milch has an all-female cast.

The Ocean’s 8 cast

If this cast isn’t a blockbuster formula, then we really don’t know what is. We mean, where else would you catch Rihanna and Cate Blanchett getting friendly like this?  Anyhow, let’s go over the main characters of the Ocean’s 8 cast.

Sandra Bullock as Debbie Ocean, Danny Ocean’s sister

Cate Blanchett as Lou

Helena Bonham Carter as Rose

Anne Hathaway as Daphne Kluger

Rihanna as Nine Ball

Mindy Kaling as Amita

Sarah Paulson as Tammy

Awkwafina as Constance

The storyline

As Debbie, Danny Ocean’s estranged sister plans to pull off a heist at the famous annual Met Gala. She takes a shot at reuniting a foolproof squad of pro scammers: Rose, Daphne Kluger, Lou, Nine Ball, Amita, Tammy, and Constance. Nonetheless, this dream team has its eye on the prize and that is the $12 million raised at the gala they plan on robbing.

Cameo appearances

It gets better. Besides the fact that women have the upper hand in this job. More top actors will make a cameo appearance in this blockbuster-to-be. There’s a list of them and we have it. Take a look.

Matt Damon, Dakota Fanning, Anna Wintour, Alexander Wang, Kim Kardashian, Zayn Malik, Katie Holmes, Kendall Jenner, Hailey Baldwin,  Serena Williams, Zac Posen, Adriana Lima, Olivia Munn, Lauren Santo Domingo, Kylie Jenner and Maria Sharapova.
