The End of an Era, ‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’

Not only is this the last piece of the Skywalker saga, it is also the end of the newest trilogy. This movie should be the climax of all the movies. The ending we, the Star Wars fans, deserve. ‘The Last Jedi’ wasn’t the best movie, let’s be honest. Disney really messed up there and they had some making up to do. So, our expectations for this Star Wars movie were high.

‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ was made by Lucasfilm and director J.J. Abrams. Once again, they reunited their forces to make this film. Was it the trip to a galaxy far, far away we expected it would be? No spoilers will be shared in this article, don’t worry, you can read it carefree.

Emotional roller coaster

The Rise of Skywalker was a really emotional roller coaster. There’s a lot of information in a short amount of time. The action was perfectly balanced, so you won’t lose your attention, the film will capture you the whole time. Although there were some confusing moments. There are so many new elements and the effects are so amazing that sometimes it’s difficult to process everything so quickly. Before you know it the scene changes and you’re just left there with a bunch of questions.

Mixed reactions

The fans’ reactions have been very mixed. More positive than negative, but a lot of people are re-watching all the Star Wars movies ever made and have found some inconsistencies. I must say I myself really liked the movie. There are some parts that didn’t really add up for me. It was like they pushed all the information in a scene just to have it in there. That, for me, was a bit of a bummer, but all of the action made up for it. There are some legendary moments in the movie that I’ll never forget. It really leaves a big impact. I laughed, I cried and I said “ooohhh” a couple of times. I was constantly sitting on the edge of my seat.

I’d certainly recommend this movie if you are a Star Wars fan, but even if you’re not. The movie was beautiful and well-made. The special effects are very real and it’s amazing how technology is evolving.
