These 10 Series Are Coming Your Way in June

A new month means a new list full of series to watch in June. We see a lot of familiar faces this month as many returned for another season! Sadly, we also know that some series announced their last return … ‘Peaky Blinders’, we will miss you!

1. Borgen: Power & Glory (Season 4)

After almost a decade of waiting: the Danish political drama Borgen is back! The fourth season will give us a peek behind the biggest political issues that the first female Danish politician Birgitte Nyborg had to face: such as the control of the Arctic Ocean and the climate crisis.

‘Borgen: Power & Glory’ is coming to Netflix on June 2.

2. The boys (season 3)

After two successful seasons, The Boys return, and that with a lot of speculations about new cast members. Maybe Jeffrey Dean Morgan, known from The Walking Dead, will join the team this year? Who is definitely on board for season three is Supernatural alum Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy and also Walking Dead actress Laurie Holden.

PS. Marvel, watch out because Soldier Boy looks a lot like Captain America, doesn’t he?

‘The Boys’ is coming to Amazon Prime Video on June 3.

3. P-Valley (season 2)

The series P-Valley is about the lives of employees working at a strip club in Mississippi. Season one was a complete hit that resulted in multiple award nominations and the prize of Outstanding Guest Actor or Actress in a Television Series for American Loretta Devine. Season two looks promising as well!

‘P-Valley’ is coming to Starz on June 3.

4. Baby Fever

Baby Fever is a Danish rom-com series of six episodes. The story is about a fertility doctor, who inseminated herself with the sperm of her ex-boyfriend. That’s when the story gets crazy. The main question is: will she end up with her ex-boyfriend and/or a baby?

‘Baby Fever’ is coming to Netflix on June 8.

5. Ms. Marvel

Marvel blows out seven candles in June because Ms. Marvel is the seventh television series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The leading role is for Pakistani-Canadian Iman Vellani, who will make her on-screen debut. Fun fact: the first and sixth episode is directed by Belgian directors Adil El Arbi and Bilal Fallah.

‘Ms. Marvel’ is coming to Disney+ on June 8.

6. Peaky Blinders (season 6)

This news will hurt, but this sixth season of Peaky Blinders will be their last! Thomas Shelby’s storyline will come to an end. Luckily, there are still six episodes of him trying to gain political power while running a criminal business on the streets of Birmingham. This season will be a lovely reminder of British actress Helen McCrory, who passed away in 2021 from cancer.

‘Peaky Blinders’ is coming to Netflix on June 10.

7. God’s favorite idiot

Imagine: you get hit by lightning and you suddenly glow. You think it’s some crazy disease, but in the end, it is ‘just’ God, who wants you to be his messenger to avoid the Apocalypse from happening. That’s the storyline of these sixteen episodes where American actor Ben Falcone is God’s Favorite Idiot.

‘God’s Favorite Idiot’ is coming to Netflix on June 15.

8. Spriggan

Spriggan is a Japanese sci-fi anime series. It is an anime adaptation of the manga from Japanese author Hiroshi Takashige. The original manga was published in 1989. It is about an ancient civilization with advanced technology, that once ruled Earth. After it was destroyed by their misuse, they left messages for later generations. Maybe they can destroy the enemies?

‘Spriggan’ is coming to Netflix on June 18.

9. The Umbrella Academy (season 3)

The filming ended quite a long time ago. That means that this third season of The Umbrella Academy will give us some good effects and animation. With the cliffhanger at the end of season two, fans are extremely nervous to see what will happen in season three. On top of this, we’ll give a warm welcome to Euphoria’s actor Javon Walton.

‘The Umbrella Academy’ is coming to Netflix on June 22.

10. Loot

Did you love The OfficeParks and Recreation, or The Mary Tyler Moore Show? Then the series Loot will be next on your binge-watch list. This workplace comedy includes American Emmy Award winner Maya Rudolph. Apple TV+ has the award for best comedy series with Ted Lasso, but Ted should watch out for this big opponent!

‘Loot’ is coming to Apple TV+ on June 24.
