Our 7 Summer Skincare Essentials

Summer means extra vitamin D but also more dryness and sun damage to our skin. Forewarned is forearmed, so here are a few products we’ll be using during the hottest season of the year to not look like a raisin by the end of September.

Attivi Puri Vitamin C + Ferulic Acid Cream From Collistar

This moisturizer filled with vitamin C is a lightweight cream that absorbs quickly and doesn’t feel sticky. It defends the skin from oxidative stress, protects it from the harmful effects of pollution and UVA/UVB light, and stimulates collagen production. We’ve been using it in the morning and the evening, and it’s a keeper.

Available via the Collistar webshop.

Retinol Intensive Mask From Some By Mi

As you read in this article, retinol is the holy grail when it comes to skincare. Especially during the summer, it is incredibly important to watch out for sun damage and treat your skin properly. The Some By Mi retinol serum has been a hype on Tiktok, but the mask also comes highly recommended. It’s on the pricier side compared to other masks but so soothing. And we guess your youthful look is worth a couple of euros.

Available via Boozyshop.

Vinoperfect Serum From Caudalie

The Vinoperfect serum from Caudalie has been a long-time favorite. It evens out your skin tone, corrects dark spots, and enhances radiance.

Available via the Caudalie webshop.

Lip Balm From Marie-Stella-Maris

This 100% natural lip balm is simply a necessity all year long. Made from shea butter, jojoba, almond, and castor oil, it couldn’t be any more hydrating. It also quickly absorbs, isn’t sticky, and doesn’t contain mineral oils.

Available via the Marie-Stella-Maris webshop.

Hyaluronic Cleansing Balm From Babor

Cleansing balms are the best thing that happened to us. Whoever is still using cotton pads, or even worse … makeup remover wipes—listen carefully! The hyaluronic balm from Babor is an absolute favorite. Gently massage into the skin, wash off, double cleanse, and start with a fresh face.

Available via the Babor webshop.

Multi-Peptide Lash and Brow Serum From The Ordinary

Honestly, there’s nothing prettier than a well-hydrated face without any make-up during summer. Just a natural glow, some lip balm, and this lash and brow serum to help nature a hand.

Available via The Ordinary webshop.

Sunscreen from Beauty of Joseon

We’ve been using this before the hype and ordered it over and over again. It’s the perfect protection to use on a daily base. It doesn’t leave a white layer on your face, absorbs quickly, isn’t oily, and doesn’t clog your pores. Amen!

Available via Zalando.
